We are seeking Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), and Paramedics to join our Madison, WI site. This onsite role offers hands-on clinical experience with healthy volunteers, exposure to diverse therapeutic areas, and training in Phase I study procedures.


Role Overview

As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will provide high-quality care to study participants while supporting clinical trial operations. You will gain experience in a fast-paced environment, performing procedures across a variety of study types including ascending dose, first-in-human, food effect, and drug-drug interaction trials.

This role is ideal for early-career nurses, LPNs, or paramedics looking to specialize in clinical research and work closely with participants while contributing to cutting-edge medical studies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform vital signs assessments: blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiratory rate, and weight measurements.

  • Prepare and record ECGs and Holter monitoring data accurately.

  • Collect, process, and manage biological samples according to study protocol; ensure proper distribution.

  • Monitor participants’ dietary compliance as per research requirements.

  • Assist in the preparation of study rooms and clinical equipment.

  • Support participant screening and onboarding procedures.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environment.

  • Follow all protocols, SOPs, and regulatory requirements with strict adherence to study guidelines.

  • Undertake additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.


Qualifications & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Certification preferred: EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA, or CNA.

  • Paramedics must be state-certified in Wisconsin.

  • 0–1 year of relevant healthcare experience; prior clinical research exposure is a plus.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Onsite clinical and laboratory setting with exposure to biological fluids and standard office equipment.

  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) required, including gloves, protective eyewear, and garments.

  • Ability to work upright or stationary for 6–8 hours per day.

  • Repetitive hand movements for clinical procedures and equipment operation.

  • Occasional bending, stooping, crouching, and lifting up to 15–20 lbs.

  • Flexible hours as required by study schedules and participant needs.
