Position Summary:
R&D Partners is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Associate to join their team in Foster City, CA. This contract-based position will involve driving antibody discovery, DNA construct design, and mRNA immunogen production, as well as collaborating with other research teams to support antibody discovery and functional characterization. The successful candidate will have a background in molecular biology, particularly in antibody discovery, and will be capable of independently managing complex experiments.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive antibody discovery through antibody sequencing/cloning, reformatting, and initial characterization.
Design and optimize DNA constructs for in vitro mRNA immunogen production.
Independently design, analyze, and interpret experiments for antibody discovery and characterization.
Collaborate with Research Data Sciences and Discovery Sciences & Technology teams to support NGS-based antibody discovery and functional characterization.
Present scientific results in various settings, including project team meetings.
Contribute scientific results for publications, patents, and regulatory submissions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: B.S. in biological sciences with a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience or M.S. with a minimum of 1 year of experience in molecular biology or antibody discovery.
Experience:
Strong expertise in molecular biology (PCR, reverse transcription, cloning) is required.
Experience with mRNA immunogen production is a plus.
Experience in single-cell FACS sorting and other single-cell technologies is desired.
Mammalian cell culture and transient protein expression experience is a plus.
Skills:
