Responsibilities

  • Report to the General Counsel and serve as a Legal Business Partner, providing legal support to a fast-growing group and its affiliates, primarily in North America.

  • Offer practical, business-oriented legal advice to all business functions.

  • Collaborate with the commercial/sales organization, providing legal guidance on contract terms, risk assessment, and risk mitigation strategies, balancing business priorities with legal considerations.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial contracts with clients and providers, including master services agreements, statements of work, confidentiality agreements, subcontractor agreements, and vendor agreements.

  • Assist with contract lifecycle management, including developing and maintaining contract templates, clause books, and negotiation playbooks to streamline processes across affiliates.

  • Manage corporate-related matters with local advisors.

  • Work proactively with internal and external stakeholders to prevent legal disputes and mitigate legal exposure.

  • Contribute to the integration of new affiliates in the region, ensuring consistency in legal practices and policies.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures to promote compliance and mitigate risks.

  • Manage disputes, pre-litigation matters, and relationships with outside counsel as necessary.

  • Develop the group's compliance program in collaboration with the legal team.

  • Provide internal training on legal and compliance issues.

  • Complete special projects as assigned by corporate leadership.


Experience

  • US-qualified lawyer with an MBA in private law.

  • 10 years of Post-Qualified Experience (PQE).

  • Experience in handling projects in various countries (North America, Asia, Australia).

  • Knowledge of local laws in the regions (North America, Asia, Australia).

  • Expertise in GDPR, commercial law, tax law, corporate law, internal controls and risk management, insurance, intellectual property, brands, procurement, CSR regulations, and M&A.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Familiarity with the healthcare sector is a plus.

  • Proactive and adaptable to new challenges and regulations.

  • Knowledge of multiple languages relevant to the regions is a significant advantage.
