Role Overview

Clarivate is seeking an Associate Consultant – Commercial Consulting (Epidemiology) to join its growing Epidemiology Consulting Practice in Bengaluru. This role is ideal for professionals with strong quantitative and analytical expertise who are passionate about translating epidemiological and real-world data into meaningful commercial insights for pharmaceutical and life sciences clients.

The position focuses on two high-growth consulting domains: epidemiology research and US healthcare claims analysis, supporting strategic decision-making across product development, market access, and commercial planning.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define project scope and support end-to-end execution of epidemiology and healthcare consulting engagements.

  • Lead and execute primary and secondary research initiatives for pharmaceutical and life sciences clients.

  • Conduct quantitative analyses, including patient population sizing, disease modeling, and US claims data analysis.

  • Develop robust market and product forecasts, including eligible patient populations and long-term market projections.

  • Perform systematic literature reviews (published and grey literature) to estimate disease incidence and prevalence over 10–20-year horizons.

  • Prepare comprehensive research dossiers, summaries, and evidence packs to support strategic consulting and business development initiatives.

  • Source and analyze data from disease registries, cancer registries, public health databases, and government healthcare websites.

  • Perform statistical analyses using R, Python, SAS, SPSS, SQL, or other appropriate analytical tools.

  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Advanced degree in Epidemiology, Public Health (quantitative focus), Biostatistics, or a closely related discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in epidemiology, healthcare consulting, or life sciences analytics.


Core Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of epidemiological and observational research methodologies.

  • Excellent analytical and critical-thinking abilities with attention to scientific rigor and data quality.

  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including academic, clinical, and commercial stakeholders.

  • Client-focused mindset with a demonstrated commitment to high-quality consulting delivery.


Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in patient population sizing and forecasting disease or market evolution over time.

  • Hands-on proficiency with analytical and statistical tools such as R, Python, SAS, SPSS, SQL, and exposure to machine learning techniques.

  • Familiarity with US healthcare claims data and real-world evidence (RWE) sources.
