Role Overview

The Associate Director – Business Excellence (Payer Operations) is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving enterprise-wide business transformation initiatives and elevating operational performance across multiple clients, geographies, and delivery teams.

This role requires a hands-on leader with deep expertise in Continuous Improvement (CI), reengineering, governance, stakeholder engagement, and healthcare BPM operations. The candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders to design and deploy scalable solutions that enhance service delivery, operational excellence, and client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end complex Continuous Improvement and business reengineering initiatives across multiple geographies

  • Collaborate with mid- to senior-level stakeholders to identify operational improvement opportunities and define problem statements

  • Mentor Business Excellence (BE) teams and cross-functional project teams on complex transformation programs

  • Lead or facilitate governance reviews and provide performance updates to senior leadership

  • Design and implement solutions across people, process, and technology dimensions

  • Develop business proposals addressing operational challenges and strategic objectives

  • Facilitate creation and deployment of Target Operating Models (TOM)

  • Provide thought leadership leveraging industry best practices, benchmarking, and research insights

  • Support the BE Portfolio Lead in developing and executing Business Excellence strategy across assigned portfolios


Educational Qualifications

  • Graduate or Postgraduate in any discipline

  • MBA preferred


Preferred Certifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or equivalent)

  • COPC Certification

  • Design Thinking Certification


Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities

  • Proven ability to leverage technology for solution design and operational transformation

  • Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills across multi-geo teams

  • Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Experience in benchmarking and performance optimization

  • Exposure to project management frameworks and transformation methodologies
