Role Overview

The Associate Manager, Safety Data and PV Systems will lead Global Patient Safety (GPS) data management and system operations to ensure accurate and compliant safety reporting. This role is responsible for managing Argus Safety systems, supporting pharmacovigilance processes, generating safety reports, and maintaining compliance with global regulatory standards (FDA, EMA, PMDA, ICH).

You will work closely with clinical, regulatory, and IT teams, ensuring seamless operations, audit readiness, and continuous improvement in PV systems and safety data processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safety Data & System Management:

    • Administer and configure Oracle Argus Safety system for compliant case processing.

    • Support system validation, updates, testing, and workflow optimization.

    • Generate, validate, and customize safety reports using Argus reporting tools and BI platforms.

  • Process Oversight & Compliance:

    • Monitor GPS mailboxes including unblinded data.

    • Ensure alignment of safety data management with global regulatory standards.

    • Contribute to SOPs, work instructions, and safety management plans.

    • Participate in audit readiness, inspections, and compliance documentation.

  • Collaboration & Technical Support:

    • Partner with pharmacovigilance, clinical, regulatory, and IT teams to enhance system operations.

    • Collaborate with vendors on safety database configurations and troubleshooting.

    • Proactively review processes and suggest improvements for efficiency.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, IT, or relevant field.

  • Experience:

    • 7+ years in clinical research, pharmacovigilance, or IT safety systems.

    • 3+ years hands-on experience with safety databases (e.g., Argus, ArisG) and workflow management.

    • Knowledge of aggregate safety reporting (DSUR, PSUR) and MedDRA coding.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Oracle Argus Safety system, E2B gateway, and safety signal detection tools.

    • Strong computer skills; Excel required, SQL is a plus.

    • Experience with electronic dashboards, data visualization, and PV analytics.

  • Regulatory Knowledge:

    • Familiarity with global pharmacovigilance regulations (FDA, EMA, PMDA, ICH).

    • Understanding of clinical and post-marketing safety event workflows.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written English communication.

    • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple complex tasks.

    • Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
