Primary Responsibilities:

  • Code inpatient and/or outpatient medical records using ICD-10 and/or CPT-4 in accordance with department guidelines

  • Maintain a minimum of 95% accuracy in code selection and sequencing

  • Abstract and index records accurately and consistently

  • Meet departmental productivity standards for coding and data entry

  • Participate in coding meetings and training sessions to maintain up-to-date skills

  • Display flexibility in work hours when needed

  • Attend conference calls as needed to provide coding-related insights

  • Develop strong working relationships within the department and hospital teams

  • Comply with confidentiality and company policies, including flexibility in work environment, team changes, and shift adjustments


Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate (any discipline)

  • Certified fresher or experienced medical coder

  • Must hold current coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA

    • Accepted certifications: CPC, CCS, CIC, COC (any one)

  • Must provide valid certification ID at the time of interview or offer
