Primary Responsibilities:
Code inpatient and/or outpatient medical records using ICD-10 and/or CPT-4 in accordance with department guidelines
Maintain a minimum of 95% accuracy in code selection and sequencing
Abstract and index records accurately and consistently
Meet departmental productivity standards for coding and data entry
Participate in coding meetings and training sessions to maintain up-to-date skills
Display flexibility in work hours when needed
Attend conference calls as needed to provide coding-related insights
Develop strong working relationships within the department and hospital teams
Comply with confidentiality and company policies, including flexibility in work environment, team changes, and shift adjustments
Required Qualifications:
Graduate (any discipline)
Certified fresher or experienced medical coder
Must hold current coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA
Accepted certifications: CPC, CCS, CIC, COC (any one)
Must provide valid certification ID at the time of interview or offer
