Role Summary

The Associate Scientist will support advanced analytical operations at the IGTeD center by leading analytical planning, raw material qualification, stability studies, and troubleshooting activities for Personal Care and Home Care products.

The role involves collaboration with global product development teams and ensuring compliance with international quality and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities

1. Analytical & Stability Support

  • Lead analytical activities for:

    • Stability projects

    • Raw material qualification

  • Collaborate with:

    • Procurement teams

    • Suppliers

    • Global product development scientists

2. Method Development & Validation

  • Execute:

    • Method development

    • Method validation

    • Technology transfers to manufacturing plants

  • Ensure compliance with:

    • cGMP norms

    • Safety standards

3. Product Analysis & Troubleshooting

  • Analyze:

    • Experimental formulations

    • Finished products

    • Competitive market samples

  • Use advanced analytical instruments for troubleshooting and evaluation

4. Laboratory Instrumentation Management

  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment

  • Handle qualification of analytical instruments

  • Coordinate with external laboratories for specialized testing

5. Innovation & Strategic Research

  • Track:

    • Industry trends

    • Patent filings

    • Scientific literature

  • Identify opportunities for technical improvements and formulation solutions


Required Qualifications

Educational Qualification

M.Sc. in:

  • Analytical Science

  • Inorganic Chemistry

  • Organic Chemistry

  • Bioanalytical Chemistry

  • Related scientific disciplines

Experience

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in an analytical laboratory environment

Technical Expertise

Hands-on experience with:

  • LCMS

  • ICP

  • HPLC

  • GC

  • FTIR

Compliance Knowledge

  • Experience working under cGMP norms

  • Strong documentation and laboratory compliance practices


Preferred Qualifications

Industry Experience

  • Experience in:

    • FMCG industry

    • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector

Communication Skills

  • Ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
