Job Description:
The Night Shift Automation Technician in the Device Assembly and Packaging area ensures automated equipment performance, provides first-line support to production processes, and assists with area engineering initiatives, process improvements, and project implementation. This role requires expertise in production processes, commissioning, qualification, and validation requirements, along with equipment-specific control system technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure operational and maintenance procedures prioritize safety.
Perform activities following cGMPs and applicable procedures.
Identify and implement quality improvements using equipment performance data.
Communicate effectively with all levels to ensure minimal disruption during projects or repairs.
Collaborate with engineers and operations personnel to develop equipment designs, procedures, and maintenance practices.
Identify opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and operational effectiveness.
Provide technical support in:
Investigating and resolving production delays.
Transferring knowledge of equipment capabilities to operators and maintenance teams.
Implementing tools for improving proficiency in operations and engineering.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors.
Develop maintenance action plans to support troubleshooting activities.
Participate in periodic equipment reviews and execute small projects for process or equipment improvements.
Minimum Requirements:
Legally authorized to work in the United States (Lilly does not sponsor employment visas for this role).
High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven ability to work safely in a participative environment.
Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of instrumentation, PLC, and/or HMI programming (Studio 5000 and Factory Talk View SE experience preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel with strong technical writing skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage rapidly changing priorities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service mindset.
Experience with highly automated equipment (B&R platform experience is a plus).
Knowledge of parenteral equipment and manufacturing operations.
Experience with Maximo or similar computerized maintenance management systems.

Anticipated wage: $21.27 - $46.88 per hour.
