Position Overview

Pediatric Associates is seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant (Spanish/English) for a part-time role in Fort Worth, TX. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Spanish and English, and will play a key role in providing exceptional patient care under the direct supervision of clinicians. With a strong focus on pediatric care, you’ll be part of a team dedicated to enhancing health and wellness in a safe, compassionate, and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain high-quality patient experience and a safe environment
  • Perform patient intake vitals and accurately document information
  • Assist clinicians with various procedures including vision and hearing screenings, suturing, wound care, and more
  • Administer vaccines and medications, ensuring proper handling and cold-chain management
  • Perform lab sample collection, phlebotomy, and document results
  • Assist with patient follow-up, prescription refills, referrals, and necessary documentation
  • Provide education to patients and parents regarding medications and vaccines
  • Ensure adherence to infection control policies and practices
  • Other duties as assigned

Performance Requirements

  • Adhere to all organizational information security policies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and maintain effective relationships
  • Proficiency in electronic health recordkeeping systems

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish/English (required)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant Diploma/Certification or 3+ years of experience in lieu of certification
  • Active BLS certification
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience preferred

Physical Demands

  • Standing, walking for long periods
  • Lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs
  • Pushing/pulling up to 200 lbs
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Occasional travel to other office locations (15%-20%)
