Job Overview

This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing clinical chemistry and toxicology operations, with a strong focus on mass spectrometry. You will act as a technical advisor, ensuring accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance across multiple laboratories.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Oversight

  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of clinical chemistry testing

  • Oversee instrument performance and troubleshoot issues

  • Monitor quality control and regulatory compliance

Clinical & Scientific Leadership

  • Serve as a technical consultant for clinicians and clients

  • Interpret and review patient test results

  • Stay updated with scientific advancements

Laboratory Operations

  • Supervise technical lab functions across multiple sites

  • Optimize workflows, staffing, and reagent usage

  • Resolve complex technical issues and test-related queries

Method Development & Innovation

  • Support implementation of new assays and technologies

  • Collaborate with R&D for test development

  • Improve SOPs and reporting systems

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to clinical lab regulations and standards

  • Assist quality teams in audits and inspections

  • Maintain high standards of patient care and data integrity


Required Skills

Expertise in clinical toxicology and mass spectrometry

Strong leadership and decision-making ability

Deep understanding of lab validation, QC, and compliance

Excellent communication with clinicians and stakeholders


Preferred Skills

Experience in clinical chemistry fellowship (COMACC)

Participation in research, publications, or scientific societies

Advanced problem-solving and analytical thinking
