Job Overview

The Clinical Data Manager will be responsible for end-to-end clinical data management activities across global clinical trials. This role focuses on ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality study outcomes within defined timelines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee assigned clinical trial activities from study start-up to closeout

  • Perform clinical data validation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and protocol compliance

  • Identify discrepancies and raise system/manual queries for resolution

  • Handle query management processes to maintain clean and reliable datasets

  • Perform reconciliation of external data sources including SAE, IWRS, and Central Laboratory data

  • Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for study-related communications

  • Identify potential study risks and implement mitigation strategies proactively

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, and Pharmacovigilance

  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality clinical data outputs

  • Contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives


Required Skills

  • Strong expertise in Clinical Data Management (CDM)

  • Experience in discrepancy management and query resolution workflows

  • Hands-on exposure to study conduct and closeout activities

  • Knowledge of SAE reconciliation and external data handling (IWRS, Central Labs)

  • Understanding of clinical trial lifecycle and regulatory compliance standards


Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)

  • Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm)

  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc)

  • Master of Science (M.Sc)


Preferred Candidate Profile

  • 2–8 years of experience in clinical data management or related clinical research roles

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple studies in a fast-paced environment


Important Note for Applicants

This position requires prior experience in clinical data management. Freshers are advised to apply for entry-level roles such as Clinical Data Coordinator, Clinical Research Associate (CRA), or Drug Safety Associate to build relevant experience before transitioning into Clinical Data Manager roles.
