Job Summary
IQVIA is hiring a Clinical Data Strategist to lead data integration and system design across multiple clinical systems supporting global clinical trials. In this remote role, you'll guide cross-functional teams in optimizing real-time data flows across platforms like EDC, IVRS, CTMS, QRPM, and data analytics tools. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in CRO operations and clinical systems integration, driving innovation to improve trial quality and reduce data latency.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee data integration across multiple clinical systems including EDC, IVRS, CTMS, and analytics platforms
Guide project teams in optimal data flow design patterns ensuring real-time alerts and data accessibility
Lead vendor data setup and system configuration for data management functions
Create and manage Systems Integration Plans to assess risks and ensure alignment across study platforms
Collaborate across teams including IPA, CDAT, and Study Teams to drive standardization and harmonization
Champion improvements in people, process, and technology to optimize clinical trial operations
Train and educate teams on SOPs and best practices for startup and data integration
Review data transfer specs and ensure alignment with integration quality standards
Serve as liaison with global IT for issue resolution related to data quality or integration
Identify innovative solutions and influence integration decisions in future studies
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent field
8–10 years of experience in clinical trials, data management, or CRO environments
Strong knowledge of clinical systems (EDC, IVRS, CTMS, QRPM, CDOS, SLDRs, etc.)
Advanced understanding of data flows between clinical systems and potential integration impacts
Proven experience in drug discovery, trial conduct, and data strategy roles
Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities
Ability to lead cross-functional meetings and present integration strategies
Skilled in managing system dependencies and end-to-end deliverables
