Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Copy Editor with 2-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences content. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of promotional and medical content across print and digital platforms. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, familiarity with editorial standards, and the ability to manage complex workflows with multiple review stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen metadata and route content to appropriate reviewers.

  • Proofread promotional materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, and brand style. Identify inconsistencies or awkward phrasing.

  • Review reference lists for compliance with the AMA Manual of Style.

  • Conduct word-to-word comparisons against previous versions to identify discrepancies.

  • Verify implementation of changes across all review stages, including:

    • Post-MLR

    • Proofs (Print)

    • Final Samples (Approved for Adaptation Pieces)

    • Functional Reviews

  • Check that all hyperlinks function correctly and route to the intended pages/screens.

  • Ensure compliance with digital standards, including size, visibility of disclaimers, and interactive elements.

  • Verify that all buttons and interactive features (swipe, tap, etc.) function properly across devices.

  • Maintain quality, accuracy, and compliance across all content deliverables.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduation in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related fields.

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare content editing.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in text and formatting.

  • Familiarity with editorial and proofreading tools, digital standards, and compliance requirements.

  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with stakeholders and reviewers.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of typesetting guidelines and AMA style guide.

  • Basic proficiency in MS Excel.

  • Familiarity with Veeva PromoMats and Medical Legal Regulatory (MLR) review processes.
