Role Overview

The Data Entry – Registered Pharmacy Technician Coordinator is responsible for supporting pharmacy operations through accurate data entry, prescription documentation, and communication with healthcare providers. This role ensures timely processing of patient referrals, prescription updates, and pharmacy system documentation while maintaining compliance with pharmacy standards and procedures.


Work Details

  • Work Mode: Remote (Must reside within 50 miles of Brooks, KY)

  • Schedule: Full-time (as per business requirements)


Key Responsibilities

1. Provider & Pharmacy Communication

  • Maintain professional communication with physician offices (oral and written)

  • Make outbound calls to request prescription refills or updates on pending prescriptions

  • Answer main pharmacy line and route calls to appropriate departments

2. Data Entry & Documentation

  • Process inbound prescription documents and organize/attach them in pharmacy systems

  • Create patient profiles and new referrals based on program requirements

  • Document clarification requests, updates, and follow-ups in systems such as Pathpoint Rx / ScriptMed

3. Prescription Processing Support

  • Verify completeness and accuracy of prescription refill requests and clarifications

  • Execute required steps based on document type and pharmacy workflow

  • Ensure correct processing of inbound prescription-related information

4. Patient & Care Team Support

  • Assist Pharmacy Care Coordinators in resolving drug therapy and pharmacy care issues

  • Support understanding of patient disease states and care requirements

  • Ensure smooth coordination between internal teams and external providers

5. Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Follow all pharmacy policies, procedures, safety rules, and regulations

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all documentation and communication

  • Support operational quality and workflow efficiency

6. Additional Responsibilities

  • Respond to internal inquiries within required timeframes

  • Perform other duties as assigned by pharmacy leadership


Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Experience in pharmacy, healthcare, or administrative/data entry roles preferred

  • Experience working in pharmacy management systems (preferred)

  • Familiarity with prescription workflows and healthcare documentation is an advantage

  • Familiarity with pharmacy systems (e.g., ScriptMed or similar platforms)
