Job Overview

We are hiring a Director – Strategic Delivery & Growth for a senior global leadership role focused on clinical research strategy, business growth, pharmaceutical development consulting, operational delivery excellence, and client partnership leadership. This opportunity is ideal for experienced professionals with expertise in clinical trial strategy, CRO business development, therapeutic area leadership, operational execution, proposal strategy, and pharmaceutical R&D growth initiatives.

The selected candidate will lead strategic client engagements, design differentiated clinical trial delivery strategies, support business development initiatives, oversee post-award operational strategy execution, and contribute to global growth across clinical research and life sciences programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic delivery and growth initiatives across pharmaceutical, biotech, and CRO client portfolios.
  • Develop innovative clinical trial operational strategies that improve competitiveness, client outcomes, and business profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong executive-level client relationships, KOL partnerships, vendor collaborations, and internal stakeholder alignment.
  • Serve as a senior subject matter expert (SME) in therapeutic area strategy, research operations, and drug development execution.
  • Lead end-to-end business development activities including:
    • RFI responses
    • Proposal strategy development
    • Bid defense preparation
    • Strategic solution design
    • Client presentations
  • Present enterprise clinical, scientific, medical, and operational capabilities to prospective clients.
  • Oversee post-award strategic implementation, ensuring operational teams execute aligned delivery strategies.
  • Monitor project execution using financial, operational, and quality performance metrics.
  • Identify strategic risks and guide corrective actions throughout study execution and recruitment phases.
  • Contribute to quality assurance, risk management, and regulatory compliance oversight across strategic programs.
  • Drive process improvements using business insights, operational lessons learned, and delivery optimization initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership teams to define business expansion opportunities across therapeutic areas and global markets.
  • Support scientific visibility through:
    • Industry publications
    • Conference presentations
    • Webinars
    • Thought leadership initiatives
  • Contribute to company vision, operating plans, and strategic transformation initiatives.
  • Mentor teams, develop talent pipelines, and foster a high-performance leadership culture.
  • Support departmental and enterprise training programs focused on clinical development excellence.
  • Ensure alignment with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), quality frameworks, and client expectations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered
  • Advanced qualifications in life sciences, business, healthcare, or clinical research are advantageous

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of research & development and clinical research experience
  • Experience in:
    • Pharmaceutical industry
    • Biotechnology organizations
    • CRO (Contract Research Organization) environments
  • At least 3+ years of experience in drug delivery project management preferred
  • Strong leadership and strategic client-facing experience required
