Key Responsibilities:

  • On-site Training & Consultation:

    • Assess and select target trainees and hospitals to ensure high-quality Phaco conversion and optimal surgical results.

    • Provide on-site instruction in the operating room (OR) and wet lab to help trainees convert from ECCE and SICS to Phaco.

    • Collaborate with Alcon consultants and proctors to improve trainee performance and achieve optimal surgical outcomes.

  • Product & Procedural Excellence:

    • Demonstrate product and procedural excellence in surgery and coach trainees and affiliated personnel on achieving optimal results using Alcon products.

    • Support Alcon Phaco Development training events, patient education programs, congresses, symposiums, and special Alcon events.

  • Documentation & Compliance:

    • Complete documentation of training assessments, pre-course preparation, surgical observations, and post-course Phaco cases.

    • Follow all Alcon administrative and reporting procedures, including weekly, monthly, and expense reporting.

    • Handle adverse event and product complaint activities, forwarding information to the local vigilance representative.


Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Science Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma/Technical Course, with medically related specialty training (Surgical/Medical Technologist) from a recognized institution.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of one year in sales, marketing, or related experience in OR assisting surgeons or in the field of applications.

  • Skills:

    • Proficient in English.

  • Work Hours:

    • Dependent on the field schedule.

  • Travel Requirements:

    • Domestic travel required (50% - 70%).


Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Specialty training in Biomedical Engineering or Medical Technology.

  • Two years of Clinical Application, Marketing, and Sales experience with a recognized international or local medical device company.

  • Experience as a Surgical/Medical Technologist or Biomedical Engineer.
