About the Job

Essential Functions

Communication

  • Ensures daily updates to internal team members regarding all project aspects.

Proofreading

  • Maintains version control, ensures project file integrity, and verifies that requested changes are accurately incorporated through multiple rounds of project routing.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist Editors/Senior Editors with proofreading tasks:

    • Conduct full reads at key stages (e.g., mechanical checks, first development round, printer's proofs).
    • Perform correction checks/slugs for most intervening rounds.
    • Utilize technological tools to enhance manual review processes where applicable.
  • Execute cold reads at the discretion of the Editorial Manager.

  • Serve as Editor on assigned brands upon completion of baseline training.

  • Compile End-of-Day (EOD) reports for day/night staff.

  • Collaborate with immediate supervisor and Editorial Director to gain a comprehensive understanding of agency processes and best practices.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in medical, healthcare, or pharmaceutical copy editing.
  • Proven proofreading, editing, or related experience in an agency or similar environment.
