Role Overview

Clarivate is seeking a skilled Epidemiologist to support global healthcare and life sciences clients through high-quality epidemiological research and data-driven insights. This role focuses on systematic literature reviews, real-world data analysis, disease burden estimation, and long-term forecasting to inform strategic decision-making across pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare markets.

The position offers the opportunity to work on global consulting projects, proprietary data products, and advanced epidemiological models using both published and grey literature sources.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct fully documented systematic reviews of published and grey literature to estimate disease incidence and prevalence over 10–20-year horizons.

  • Perform epidemiological research using real-world and public health data sources, including NHANES, HCUP, cancer registries, government surveys, and other global datasets.

  • Analyze disease trends and forecast patient populations across multiple therapeutic areas.

  • Develop imputation, extrapolation, or proxy data models when country-specific epidemiological data is unavailable.

  • Summarize and validate prevalence data to support global consulting engagements and internal product development.

  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of epidemiological source databases.

  • Support cross-functional teams by contributing to proprietary research, analytics programs, and client-facing deliverables.


Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Epidemiology or Public Health (mandatory).

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in epidemiology, healthcare research, or life sciences analytics.


Core Skills & Technical Expertise

  • Strong methodological foundation in epidemiological research and study design.

  • Proven experience conducting systematic literature reviews.

  • Hands-on experience with SAS for data analysis.

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Strong analytical thinking with attention to data quality and documentation standards.


Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Prior experience in client-facing roles or consulting environments.

  • Experience working with large healthcare or real-world datasets.

  • Exposure to claims data analysis using SQL and/or Python.

  • Experience in oncology epidemiology.

  • Familiarity with Real-World Data (RWD) and Real-World Evidence (RWE) methodologies.
