About Cellecta:
Cellecta is a small, privately-owned biotechnology company in Mountain View, CA, offering tools and services for CRISPR and RNAi genetic screening, cell barcoding, cell engineering, gene editing, targeted RNA expression analysis, and more. We focus on providing flexible and scalable screening and analysis approaches for drug target and biomarker discovery.
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic life science professional to support both Contract Research and internal R&D projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently perform routine experiments, including plasmid/viral vector construction, shRNA/sgRNA/ORF cloning, genomic DNA isolation, and NGS library preparation.
Use molecular biology techniques such as DNA cloning and vector construction, plasmid preparation, RNA/DNA extraction, PCR/qRT-PCR.
Carry out experiments with NGS technologies, nucleic acid isolation and manipulation, library preparation, QC, and NGS platform operations.
Collaborate with other team members on advanced cell and molecular biology technologies, including gene editing, RNA-Seq, and flow cytometry.
Contribute to mammalian cell culture and viral vector research if applicable.
Requirements:
Solid hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques, including DNA cloning, vector construction, RNA/DNA extraction, PCR/qRT-PCR.
Minimum 2 years of experience in an academic or commercial lab with NGS technologies, including nucleic acid isolation, library preparation, QC, and NGS platform operations.
Experience with gene editing, RNA-Seq, flow cytometry, and related advanced cell and molecular biology technologies is a plus.
Experience with mammalian cell culture and viral vectors is a plus.
M.S. degree in Cell Biology, Virology, Molecular Biology, or similar discipline.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
