Role Overview
We are seeking an Expert Scientific Writer to join our Hyderabad team, responsible for end-to-end creation and management of complex scientific content. You will lead medical education, publication development, and therapeutic content with minimal supervision, while mentoring junior and senior writers. This role blends content excellence, strategic communication, and stakeholder management to ensure accurate, compelling, and compliant materials.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Publication:
Develop complex scientific and medical content including slide decks, abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and educational materials.
Ensure therapeutic area accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company standards.
Lead publication planning and implement annual publication strategies for assigned regions.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with medical teams, healthcare professionals, and internal stakeholders to identify publication needs.
Provide strategic support to individuals and institutions contributing to publication outputs.
Maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, ensuring clarity, compliance, and high-quality deliverables.
Team Leadership & Mentoring:
Coach, guide, and review work from junior and senior writers to ensure consistency and scientific rigor.
Share knowledge and best practices within the team to enhance efficiency and content quality.
Process Excellence & Compliance:
Manage publication workflow, documentation, and approvals using PromoMats/Datavision.
Monitor end-user feedback and continuously improve content quality and delivery processes.
Collaborate with regional vendors to ensure timely and accurate content delivery.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Experience: Minimum 8 years in scientific content creation for the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or VMS industry, with 4+ years in a leadership role.
Education: Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Medical discipline.
Technical Skills: Expertise in therapeutic area content, publication submission processes, and project management.
Languages: Excellent written and spoken English.
Soft Skills: Strong stakeholder management, communication, and independent decision-making capabilities.
