The Role
As the R&D Hub Leader for Workflow & Application Development, you will oversee Application Development Labs with a strong focus on Analytical Chemistry. You will be responsible for driving research capabilities, enabling innovation, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This role involves strategic leadership, cross-team collaboration, and direct impact on product innovation and market adoption.
Key Responsibilities
1. R&D Hub Leadership
Build and execute a business model and strategy aligned with APAC ambitions and India Growth Initiative.
Spearhead site-specific projects to strengthen research capabilities at Jigani.
Proactively identify challenges and provide solutions to optimize team performance.
Foster collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and communication across global R&D sites.
Inspire, coach, and develop team members while supporting continuous improvement.
2. Application Development & Workflows (Analytical Chemistry Focus)
Develop and refine analytical methods that replicate customer workflows.
Provide validated methods to evaluate product concepts from prototype to final design.
Support new product launches by developing applications that accelerate adoption.
Train Field Application Teams to effectively communicate product benefits.
3. R&D for Chemical Synthesis (Hub Lead)
Drive innovative solutions in chemical synthesis, including automated synthesis, advanced catalysis, and computational modeling.
Translate new concepts into feasible product ideas and ensure timely market delivery.
Collaborate with customers and partners to deliver customized, competitive solutions.
4. Strategic Planning & Budget Management
Implement R&D and Business Field strategies to accelerate innovation and revenue growth.
Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Monitor and report KPIs, highlighting achievements, challenges, and solutions.
5. Customer Engagement & Market Alignment
Gather and integrate customer insights to shape R&D priorities.
Establish a feedback loop post-launch to refine product offerings.
Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Field Application Teams to align with market needs and trends.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. (preferred) or advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Strong industry experience in Analytical Chemistry and Chemical Synthesis.
Proven leadership in managing cross-functional, matrixed teams.
Expertise in strategic planning and budget management.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with automation systems and computational modeling (advantage).
