Job Overview
Clarivate is seeking a Healthcare Research & Data Analyst to support advanced analytics initiatives focused on the U.S. healthcare and medical technology markets. In this role, you will collaborate with data scientists to analyze large-scale datasets related to hospital purchasing trends, healthcare claims data, and electronic health records (EHR).

The analyst will work with complex real-world healthcare datasets to generate insights for leading global MedTech companies and healthcare stakeholders. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and the ability to interpret large healthcare datasets to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Healthcare Data Analysis and Research

  • Analyze large healthcare datasets including hospital purchasing data, healthcare claims data, and electronic health records.

  • Identify meaningful patterns, trends, and insights within complex healthcare and life sciences datasets.

  • Conduct secondary research and synthesize findings to support data-driven healthcare insights.

Data Processing and Data Engineering

  • Design, develop, and maintain processes for analyzing structured and unstructured healthcare data.

  • Develop algorithms, scripts, and automated processes to clean, integrate, and evaluate large datasets from multiple sources.

  • Ensure accurate data integration and validation across multiple healthcare data platforms.

MedTech Market Intelligence

  • Support research and analysis related to U.S. medical device and healthcare supply markets.

  • Generate insights for MedTech companies using healthcare purchasing, claims, and EHR datasets.

  • Identify opportunities for improving data models and analytical frameworks.

Client Collaboration and Insights Presentation

  • Work closely with global healthcare clients including Fortune 500 organizations and emerging startups.

  • Present analytical findings and insights to clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic business decisions.

Quality Assurance and Data Validation

  • Evaluate data outputs and proactively identify potential errors or inconsistencies.

  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy, quality, and reliability in all analysis deliverables.

Product and Data Strategy Contribution

  • Contribute ideas that support the development of new data products, analytics models, and insights solutions.

  • Participate in initiatives aimed at improving data usage strategies and analytical capabilities.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for large dataset analysis.

  • Experience using Python or R for data analysis and statistical modeling.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and MS Office tools.

  • Experience working with healthcare or life sciences datasets.

  • Strong understanding of data variables and relationships across complex datasets.

  • Ability to handle and analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data.

  • Experience managing short-term and long-term analytics projects independently.

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis methods and data interpretation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of U.S. healthcare systems and MedTech market data.

  • Experience working with medical device, claims, or pharmacy datasets.

  • Familiarity with third-party healthcare data vendors and real-world data sources.
