Job Summary:
UCLA Health is hiring an IDS/Research Pharmacist specializing in Oncology to oversee investigational drug protocols and support clinical research operations. This on-site role is critical in ensuring regulatory compliance, safe drug handling, and seamless collaboration with clinical trial stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
Manage all investigational drug service (IDS) activities in oncology clinical trials
Oversee study setup, drug dispensation, monitoring, and close-out processes
Dispense oral and IV medications accurately and in compliance with protocols
Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations, SOPs, and trial requirements
Supervise and guide support pharmacy staff within the research setting
Foster effective communication with physicians, research teams, and administration
Maintain high standards of documentation, drug accountability, and inventory control
Contribute to a patient-focused culture aligned with UCLA Health’s core mission
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Registered Pharmacist license in California
Strong understanding of investigational drugs and oncology trials
Knowledge of GCP, USP 797/800, FDA IND regulations, and ICH guidelines
Experience in clinical research or investigational drug services preferred
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple protocols simultaneously
Willingness to travel across UCLA Health sites as required
