Job Overview

Syneos Health is hiring an IMS Specialist I (Investigator Management Solutions) to support investigator payment and project closeout activities within clinical trials. This role focuses on financial data reconciliation, reporting, and contract verification across internal systems and databases.

The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, experience handling payment or financial data, and exposure to the clinical research or CRO environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project closure activities related to investigator payments

  • Review and reconcile investigator site contracts against Oracle databases and MCTMS

  • Perform financial data validation, reconciliation, and reporting with high accuracy

  • Ensure consistency and compliance across payment datasets and internal systems

  • Support audit readiness and documentation related to investigator payments

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies efficiently

  • Maintain accurate records while meeting timelines in a dynamic environment


Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills:

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:

    • VLOOKUP, IF formulas, SUM, Pivot Tables

    • Data validation, conditional formatting

    • Duplicate value identification

    • Text-to-column conversions and date/value formatting

  • Strong reporting and data reconciliation capabilities

  • Experience handling financial or payment-related datasets

Professional Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • High attention to detail and data accuracy

  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines

  • Team-oriented mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving


Experience & Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in clinical research, CROs, or pharma operations

  • Educational background in B.Com, M.Com, or MBA (Finance/Accounting)

  • Prior experience in data management or financial operations within clinical trials preferred

  • Working knowledge of Oracle systems is an advantage

  • Exposure to auditing processes is a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Foreign language proficiency is an added advantage
