Role Overview

Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Quality Analyst to join our Overland Park site. This role provides quality oversight and support to both stat and main laboratories, ensuring that quality management, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives are executed effectively. The Laboratory Quality Analyst contributes directly to maintaining high standards of laboratory operations, regulatory readiness, and overall customer satisfaction.

This role requires onsite work with occasional travel to satellite laboratories in Kansas and Missouri.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quality support to stat and main laboratories, ensuring compliance with CAP/CLIA regulations.

  • Serve as laboratory director for up to five moderate complexity laboratories within the subregion.

  • Act as a Technical Consultant for contracted hospitals and healthcare facilities.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining spreadsheets and tools for quality metrics and reporting.

  • Provide training and support for electronic document control systems.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of SOPs, electronic forms, and quality-related training materials.

  • Plan, schedule, and conduct internal quality audits and inspections, preparing detailed audit reports.

  • Participate in inspections by regulatory and accrediting agencies as required.

  • Manage the receipt and processing of laboratory proficiency testing kits.

  • Support change control processes through to closure and participate in monthly Quality meetings.

  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.


Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or chemical/biological/physical sciences.

  • Minimum of 5 years as a generalist Medical Technologist in a clinical laboratory environment.

  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience over non-waived laboratory testing.

  • General knowledge of laboratory regulations (CAP/CLIA); familiarity with inspection protocols preferred.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong organizational abilities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other laboratory software tools.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Ability to travel monthly to satellite labs in Kansas and Missouri.
