We are seeking an experienced Lead Expert – Scientific Writer to join our Global Scientific Communications Content Hub in Bangalore. This is a high-impact role where you will lead the development of medical communications, educational content, and scientific publications across key therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Neurology, Immunology, Fertility, Cardio-metabolic, and Endocrinology. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams globally, contribute to strategic medical communication initiatives, and mentor junior writers to strengthen the overall quality and impact of our scientific content.
Lead the development of medium to high-complexity medical content, including publications, congress materials, and medical education content.
Review and ensure scientific accuracy, strategic alignment, and quality of content developed by junior writers.
Facilitate concept and content development meetings with authors, SMEs, and stakeholders.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and lead representative for assigned therapeutic areas and projects.
Drive improvement initiatives within the Global Scientific Communications Content Hub.
Mentor and develop junior writers, enhancing team expertise and knowledge depth.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines and internal quality standards.
Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across internal medical units, globally.
Provide clear status reporting and ensure personal productivity and efficiency targets are met.
Experience: Minimum 9 years in medical communications, scientific writing, or medical affairs in an international Pharma/Biotech/Agency environment.
Education: Advanced degree (MS/PhD/MD) in Life Sciences, Medicine, or a related field.
Proven expertise in scientific writing across diverse content types and audiences.
Strong therapeutic knowledge in one or more key areas: Oncology, Neurology, Immunology, Fertility, Cardio-metabolic, or Endocrinology.
Demonstrated stakeholder management and cross-functional project leadership in international settings.
Excellent analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Superior verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong awareness of global pharmaceutical industry trends and regulatory requirements.
