Job Description
Accurately code medical records by assigning appropriate diagnosis (ICD-10) and procedure (CPT-4) codes.
Perform Outpatient Coding with a minimum accuracy of 96% and within defined turnaround time.
Exceed productivity standards set for inpatient or specialty-specific outpatient coding.
Adhere to high professional and ethical standards in all work processes.
Participate in projects aimed at minimizing revenue leakage while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Continuously enhance coding skills through team meetings, educational conferences, and training sessions.
Job Requirements
Eligibility for Fresh Graduates:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related fields.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy, and physiology.
Eligibility for Experienced Candidates:
1-4 years of experience in Medical Coding, specializing in:
Cardiology, Radiology, Pathology, Anesthesia, Emergency Room, Surgery, or related specialties.
Proficiency in CPT-4, ICD-9, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
Certification in coding (e.g., CCS, CPC, CPC-H, CIC, or COC) from AAPC/AHIMA is highly desirable.
Proof of valid coding certifications is required.
Knowledge of medical coding and billing systems, regulatory requirements, and auditing principles.
