Job Title: Medical Coding Auditor - Surgery Coding

Location: Noida, India

Job Description:

Join Access Healthcare as a Medical Coding Auditor - Surgery Coding and advance your expertise in healthcare revenue cycle management. This role involves auditing, reviewing medical records, and ensuring coding accuracy for surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit medical records to ensure accurate diagnosis and CPT coding as per ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding systems.
  • Perform coding and auditing for outpatient and/or inpatient records with 96%+ accuracy while meeting turnaround time requirements.
  • Exceed medical coding productivity standards as per inpatient and specialty-specific outpatient norms.
  • Maintain a high degree of professional and ethical standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects to help customers reduce revenue leakage while maintaining compliance.
  • Stay updated on coding skills, knowledge, and accuracy by participating in team meetings and educational conferences.

Job Requirements:

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in Surgery Medical Coding.
  • Experience in Medical Coding Audits and Physician Education, preferably in Surgery Coding, is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of coding procedures and medical terminology in an ambulatory setting.
  • Exposure to CPT-4, ICD-9, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
  • CCS/CPC/CPC-H/CIC/COC certification from AAPC / AHIMA is preferred.
  • Valid current coding certification.
  • Strong understanding of medical coding and billing systems, regulatory requirements, and auditing concepts.
