R1 RCM India is hiring skilled Medical Coders / Senior Medical Coders (OP) to support outpatient coding operations. This role is ideal for certified medical coding professionals with strong expertise in CPT and ICD-10 coding who are passionate about accuracy, compliance, and improving revenue cycle outcomes. Assign accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes to outpatient diagnoses and procedures
Review medical records and patient charts to ensure documentation accuracy and completeness
Validate coding to ensure correct sequencing in compliance with payer, government, and insurance regulations
Communicate with providers and clinical staff to clarify insufficient or unclear documentation
Research and resolve complex or unusual coding scenarios
Review daily batches of patient notes for evaluation and coding accuracy
Ensure all assigned codes are current, valid, and compliant with coding guidelines
Any Graduate from a recognized institution
3–7 years of hands-on experience in outpatient medical coding
Active medical coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA, such as CPC, CPC-A, CIC, CCS, or COC
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
Proven expertise in ICD-10-CM and CPT coding
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Flexibility to work from office or home based on business requirements
