Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Coder (OP) with active coding certifications (CPC, CPC-A, CIC, CCS, or COC). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ICD-10 and CPT coding and will validate coding accuracy after reviewing medical records, ensuring compliance with government and insurance regulations. This role offers opportunities to work in a dynamic healthcare environment while advancing professional skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes for diagnoses and procedures.

  • Review patient charts and documentation for completeness and accuracy.

  • Follow up with providers for clarification on insufficient or unclear documentation.

  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure documentation meets coding standards.

  • Review and validate daily coding batches and maintain coding accuracy.

  • Stay updated with current coding standards, guidelines, and best practices.

  • Handle complex and unusual coding cases effectively.

Requirements:

  • Education: Any Graduate.

  • Experience: 3–7 years of professional experience in medical coding (OP).

  • Active certification from AHIMA or AAPC (CPC, CPC-A, CIC, CCS, COC).

  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding.

  • Proficient in verbal and written communication, with ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and adapt to evolving business needs.

  • Flexible to work from office and remote locations as required.
