Role Summary
The Creative Graphics Designer Manager within the Global Medical Communications and Content Solutions (MCCS) team is responsible for translating complex scientific concepts into visually engaging, accurate, and clear medical content. You will design global medical communications for Pfizer therapeutic areas, including congress presentations, manuscripts, graphical abstracts, slide decks, infographics, videos, digital content, plain language summaries, and other multimedia assets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Medical Communication Development

  • Design visually compelling and scientifically accurate content for multiple formats, ensuring clarity, engagement, and adherence to objectives.

  • Collaborate with medical writers, subject matter experts, and internal stakeholders to align designs with therapeutic area objectives.

  • Ensure all designs comply with Pfizer brand guidelines, regulatory standards, and therapeutic area requirements.

Project Management

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.

  • Develop and monitor project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

  • Conduct quality checks on all visual assets to maintain high standards of accuracy and relevance.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external standards, including brand, legal, and industry requirements.

  • Identify risks, propose solutions, and implement improvements to meet evolving medical communication needs.

  • Participate in design reviews, workshops, and brainstorming sessions to refine visual concepts.

Innovation and Best Practices

  • Stay current with industry trends, design software, and emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance creative output.

  • Introduce and implement innovative design approaches to improve the effectiveness and impact of medical communications.

  • Promote adoption of new tools and processes to increase team efficiency and creativity.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Digital Media, Communication Design, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in graphic design, focused on medical communications or healthcare, with a strong portfolio of print and digital work.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, InDesign, CorelDraw, PowerPoint, and familiarity with multimedia and web technologies.

  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, visual storytelling, and medical/scientific terminology.

  • Ability to manage priorities, meet tight timelines, and collaborate with global stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in global or cross-cultural environments within pharmaceutical or agency settings.

  • Expertise in creating visual content for medical channels, strategies, and educational materials.

  • Proficiency with multimedia software such as Figma, Adobe XD, After Effects, Premiere Pro, or other video/animation tools.

  • Experience with HTML/CSS or interactive web-based content creation.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.
