Overview
Novo Nordisk is seeking a highly qualified Regional Medical Liaison to support its Obesity and Liver Health portfolio. This field-based Medical Affairs role focuses on scientific exchange, stakeholder engagement, and clinical collaboration across the assigned territory. The position plays a critical role in strengthening relationships with healthcare professionals, supporting clinical research initiatives, and communicating evidence-based medical insights.

Key Responsibilities
Drive scientific engagement with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and healthcare institutions to communicate clinical benefits and outcomes of products
Act as a scientific liaison between Medical Affairs and external stakeholders, facilitating evidence-based discussions and knowledge exchange
Develop and execute territory-specific medical plans aligned with organizational strategy
Support clinical trial activities including site identification, study coordination, and investigator engagement
Deliver medical education through workshops, scientific forums, and presentations using approved materials
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including Medical, Marketing, Sales, Market Access, and HEOR
Provide clinical and scientific insights to support product strategy, market access, and formulary decisions
Maintain accurate documentation of activities in CRM systems such as Veeva and ensure compliance with reporting standards
Prepare and submit regular reports on scientific engagement, activities, and budget utilization
Ensure adherence to all regulatory, compliance, and company SOP requirements

Field-Based Clinical and Scientific Support
Partner with investigators and study sites to support study initiation, execution, and completion
Assist in patient recruitment strategies and provide scientific support during trials
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver customized clinical education programs
Support formulary discussions and provide scientific input to healthcare decision-makers

Qualifications
Doctoral degree required (PharmD, MD, PhD or equivalent in life sciences)
Minimum 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical, clinical, or healthcare-related roles
Experience in Medical Affairs, clinical research, or managed care environment preferred
Strong therapeutic knowledge in obesity, diabetes, or related metabolic disorders is highly desirable
Proven ability to build and manage relationships with KOLs and healthcare stakeholders
Excellent scientific communication and presentation skills
Strong business acumen and understanding of healthcare systems

Additional Requirements
Willingness to travel extensively (50–75% travel required)
Valid driver’s license and ability to manage regional travel responsibilities
Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Veeva) and expense management systems preferred
