Job Overview

GSK is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Hematology & Oncology for the North India region, based in New Delhi. This field-based medical affairs role focuses on building strong scientific relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and clinical researchers in the hematology-oncology therapeutic area.

The Medical Science Liaison will act as a scientific expert and trusted medical partner, supporting the exchange of clinical and scientific information while generating valuable insights that contribute to medical strategy and patient-focused innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and academic institutions in the Hematology and Oncology therapeutic areas.

  • Deliver high-quality scientific exchange by providing accurate and up-to-date clinical data related to GSK’s oncology portfolio.

  • Support the dissemination of medical and scientific information to healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate and evidence-based product use.

  • Collect and communicate insights from external experts to inform internal medical strategy and clinical development initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including medical affairs, clinical development, regulatory, and commercial teams to support strategic objectives.

  • Facilitate medical education initiatives, scientific meetings, and advisory boards to enhance engagement with the medical community.

  • Support clinical research initiatives including investigator-initiated studies and ongoing clinical trials when applicable.

  • Ensure all medical interactions comply with company policies, regulatory guidelines, and ethical standards.

  • Contribute to the development of medical strategies and therapeutic area expertise within the organization.

Educational Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in health sciences such as MD, PharmD, PhD, MBBS, or Master’s degree in Life Sciences or Pharmacy.

  • Strong scientific knowledge in Hematology, Oncology, or related therapeutic areas is highly preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Medical Science Liaison roles, or oncology-related medical functions.

  • Experience working with hematology or oncology therapeutic areas is highly desirable.

  • Prior experience interacting with KOLs, academic researchers, and oncology specialists is advantageous.

  • Strong understanding of clinical research methodologies and pharmaceutical industry regulations.

  • Excellent scientific communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex clinical data effectively.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities.

  • Ability to work independently in a field-based medical role while managing multiple scientific engagements.
