MS&T Specialist – Technology Transfer (Mumbai)

Job Summary:
Abbott is seeking a highly experienced MS&T professional to lead technology transfer activities for Third Party Manufacturing, Loan License Projects, and internal manufacturing units. Based in Mumbai, this role is ideal for pharmaceutical professionals with a strong background in formulation development, process validation, project management, and technical troubleshooting. If you have 15 years of experience in pharma operations, this is a prime opportunity to contribute to a global healthcare leader.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive smooth technology transfer between sending and receiving manufacturing sites.

  • Perform equipment and process gap analysis and propose actionable solutions.

  • Prepare Master Formula Records and Technology Transfer Protocols.

  • Review and validate manufacturing and analytical documentation at receiving sites.

  • Execute and monitor validation batches to ensure reproducibility in commercial production.

  • Conduct root cause investigations and support CAPA implementation for batch failures or complaints.

  • Support alternate supplier qualification and raw material/API harmonization.

  • Review and approve technical documents in systems like Darius and Soltraq.

  • Support NPI activities including dossier reviews and technical document approval.

  • Provide insights to senior management on project updates and technical risks.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Total Experience: 15 years

  • Relevant Experience: 6.5 years in a similar role

  • Strong knowledge of formulation development, technology transfer, and process validation

  • Familiarity with oral solids, liquids, topicals, and parenteral products

  • Proficient in quality systems and document management platforms (e.g., Soltraq, Darius)

  • Experienced in regulatory compliance, EHS, and pharmacovigilance standards

  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
