Nurse Practitioner – Rheumatology | Westwood, Los Angeles
Job Summary:
Join UCLA Health, a world-renowned leader in academic medicine and healthcare, as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) supporting the Rheumatology division at our Westwood location. In this collaborative ambulatory care role, you’ll work closely with clinician investigators, assisting in the diagnosis and management of patients with autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders. This position is ideal for experienced NPs passionate about chronic disease management, clinical excellence, and team-based care in a leading research-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care to shared patient panels in collaboration with clinician investigators
Conduct ambulatory visits for new and established patients with rheumatologic conditions
Address in-basket communications and follow-ups
Triage urgent patient needs and conduct routine follow-ups
Document patient encounters and bill for all direct patient care services
Support coordination of care between specialties and allied services
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Valid California Nurse Practitioner license and NP furnishing number
Board certification as an NP (NP1 or NP2 level)
At least 2–5 years of experience in a clinical nurse practitioner role; experience in rheumatology or internal medicine preferred
Knowledge of autoimmune and musculoskeletal disease management
Strong communication and EMR documentation skills
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team setting
