Role Overview

The Occupational Health Nurse II (OHN II) provides comprehensive occupational health services to site employees, including injury and illness management, medical surveillance, and emergency response. The role requires proactive case management, strong clinical judgment, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver occupational health services, including treatment and first aid response, to the on-site population.

  • Manage employee injuries and illnesses, workers’ compensation cases, and medical surveillance programs, protocols, and screenings.

  • Maintain and manage medical supplies and equipment.

  • Coordinate corporate occupational health and safety programs in alignment with EH&S guidelines.

  • Conduct employee health training and actively participate in site emergency response teams.

  • Collaborate closely with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) personnel, HR staff, managers, and supervisors.

  • Implement programs to reduce workers’ compensation costs through effective case management, return-to-work initiatives, and injury prevention strategies.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required.

  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

  • Experience: 2–4 years in occupational health nursing or related healthcare setting.

  • Skills: Strong clinical judgment, case management, and familiarity with workplace health programs.

  • Proficient in employee injury management and medical surveillance.

  • Knowledge of workers’ compensation processes and occupational health regulations.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced corporate environment.
