Job Overview

Accenture is hiring a Pharmacovigilance Services Specialist focused on drug safety operations, including ICSR processing, MedDRA coding, and safety database management.

This role sits in PV operations + team handling, not high-level strategy.


Key Responsibilities

1. ICSR Case Processing (Core Work)

  • Perform end-to-end ICSR processing

  • Case intake → triage → data entry → submission → follow-up

  • Ensure compliance with global regulatory timelines


2. Medical Coding

  • Perform MedDRA coding for:

    • Adverse events

    • Indications

    • Concomitant medications


3. Drug Safety Surveillance

  • Monitor adverse events and safety signals

  • Support pharmacovigilance activities across lifecycle


4. Data Management & Compliance

  • Maintain safety database accuracy

  • Ensure adherence to global PV regulations


5. Problem Solving & Analysis

  • Handle moderately complex case issues

  • Adapt existing processes to solve problems


6. Team & Stakeholder Interaction

  • Work with internal teams and client stakeholders

  • May manage small teams or workstreams

  • Operate under guidance from senior management


Required Skills

Pharmacovigilance Core

  • Strong experience in ICSR processing

  • Knowledge of global PV regulations

  • Expertise in MedDRA coding


Analytical Skills

  • Ability to solve moderately complex problems

  • Attention to detail in safety data handling


Communication

  • Interaction with clients and internal teams

  • Ability to follow structured workflows


Operational Skills

  • Database handling
