Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our clinical research team in Daytona Beach. This position is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, regulated environment and are committed to professional growth in the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and dispense investigational drugs following protocol and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and data integrity principles.
Assist in sterile compounding and pharmaceutical preparation under supervision.
Maintain accurate records of all pharmacy activities, including inventory, documentation, and reporting.
Support clinical study teams by coordinating medication logistics and ensuring timely delivery for study participants.
Follow laboratory safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth study operations.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain adherence to SOPs.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in quality, R&D, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or hospital/long-term care pharmacy settings.
Familiarity with GDP, GMP, and data integrity standards.
Experience in sterile compounding or pharmaceutical manufacturing is highly preferred.
Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) and/or Pharmacy Technician Certification is highly desired, in accordance with state regulations.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to learn complex technical procedures.
Adaptable, proactive, and committed to professional growth.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Laboratory and clinical setting exposure with occasional domestic travel.
Regular use of protective equipment such as gloves, gowns, and eyewear.
Ability to work upright for 6–8 hours per day.
Repetitive hand movements and manual dexterity required for lab operations.
Occasional crouching, stooping, bending, and twisting.
Light to moderate lifting (up to 15–20 lbs) and use of computer software.
Ability to maintain consistent attendance and work varied hours when required.
