Job Summary
Syneos Health, a global leader in biopharmaceutical solutions, is hiring a Principal Clinical Programmer (Rave/Veeva) for its Pune location. This role offers the opportunity to lead critical clinical programming projects using industry-standard tools like Medidata Rave and Veeva. Candidates will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment focused on accelerating clinical development processes for life-changing therapies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead application administration and provide technical support for core platforms including Medidata Rave, Oracle OC/RDC, SAS, and more.
Design, validate, and maintain software solutions for database creation, eCRF build, edit checks, import/export setups, and custom reporting.
Monitor systems for performance issues and troubleshoot defects.
Oversee system integrations, updates, and user acceptance testing activities.
Manage project deliverables, scope, and budgets; ensure quality, timely submissions.
Mentor and guide junior programmers, providing training and technical leadership.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and represent programming function during client meetings and audits.
Maintain updated documentation in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 8 years' experience in end-to-end clinical programming using Rave or Veeva EDC systems.
Proficient in eCRF Build, Edit Checks programming, Migrations & PPC, and Custom Functions in Rave EDC.
Prior experience in a lead programmer role is essential.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with PL/SQL, SAS, C#, or VB programming languages is preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
