Job Summary:

As a Purchase Executive at Promea Therapeutics, you will play a critical role in managing the procurement process to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, equipment, and services necessary for our operations. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient procurement operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management:

    • Identify reliable suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
    • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, resolve any issues or disputes, and conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations.
  • Procurement Execution:

    • Prepare and issue purchase orders based on approved requisitions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
    • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services by coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to address delays or discrepancies.
  • Collaboration with Internal Stakeholders:

    • Work closely with production, quality assurance, and finance teams to understand procurement requirements and ensure materials meet specifications.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product launches, product changes, and supplier qualification processes.
  • Inventory Management:

    • Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and consumption patterns to optimize inventory management and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
    • Track procurement budgets and ensure adherence to approved spending limits.
  • Market Trends & Sourcing Opportunities:

    • Monitor market trends, conduct supplier assessments, and stay updated with industry developments to identify potential cost savings and sourcing opportunities.
  • Compliance & Documentation:

    • Ensure procurement practices align with regulatory requirements such as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and GDP (Good Documentation Practices).
    • Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, supplier agreements, and price lists.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and efficiency gains in the procurement function.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educational Background:

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Industry Knowledge:

    • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations within the pharmaceutical sector.
    • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements related to pharmaceutical procurement.
  • Negotiation & Communication:

    • Proven negotiation skills and the ability to build effective supplier relationships.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Analytical Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to analyze procurement data and trends.
  • Software Proficiency:

    • Proficiency in procurement software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Contract Management:

    • Knowledge of contract management and legal aspects related to procurement.
  • Multitasking & Time Management:

    • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
