Role Overview

Labcorp is seeking a Quality Manager – Anatomic Pathology to oversee and coordinate quality assurance operations across multiple laboratory locations in the Northwestern region. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in Anatomic Pathology, Cytotechnology, or Histotechnology, who are passionate about driving quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in a dynamic laboratory environment.

The Quality Manager will lead initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance (CLIA, CAP, etc.), support operational excellence, and provide guidance to laboratory teams. Regional travel (up to 30%) may be required to support quality programs, audits, and conferences.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain Labcorp’s quality assurance programs across assigned Anatomic Pathology labs.

  • Collaborate with lab teams, medical directors, and senior leadership to promote a culture of quality.

  • Provide training and guidance on Labcorp quality policies and procedures.

  • Serve as a liaison between laboratories and external regulatory agencies.

  • Facilitate process improvement initiatives and corrective action plans.

  • Monitor and analyze outcomes from root cause analyses, quality audits, nonconformance events, and complaints.

  • Prepare management reports including quality indicators, audit outcomes, and regulatory compliance summaries.

  • Ensure laboratories maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and best practices in quality management and laboratory operations.


Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or related scientific discipline preferred; Associate degree with relevant quality experience considered.

  • 5+ years in Quality Assurance or Quality Management within a laboratory setting.

  • 2+ years of leadership experience in operations or quality management.

  • Demonstrated experience in Diagnostics Laboratory and Anatomic Pathology strongly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, CAPA, and Proficiency Testing requirements.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to travel regionally up to 30%, including overnight stays if required.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: $90,000 – $110,000 annually
