Job Overview

Novo Nordisk is seeking a highly motivated Regional Medical Advisor to strengthen its Medical Affairs presence in Hyderabad. This strategic, field-based medical role is ideal for medical professionals who are passionate about scientific engagement, clinical education, and improving patient outcomes in diabetes and metabolic disorders.

The Regional Medical Advisor will serve as the scientific interface between Novo Nordisk and healthcare professionals, translating global and national medical strategies into effective regional execution while ensuring the highest standards of compliance, ethics, and scientific integrity.


Key Responsibilities

Medical Strategy Execution

  • Implement national Medical Affairs strategies at the regional level, converting strategic objectives into structured local action plans and measurable outcomes.

  • Align regional activities with corporate medical priorities and therapeutic area goals.

Scientific Engagement & KOL Management

  • Build, maintain, and expand strong, evidence-based relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), diabetes specialists, and other relevant healthcare stakeholders.

  • Facilitate scientific exchange to enhance disease awareness, treatment optimization, and evidence-based practice.

Clinical Insights & Medical Intelligence

  • Actively engage with healthcare professionals and attend scientific meetings to gather real-world clinical insights, unmet medical needs, and evolving practice trends.

  • Synthesize insights and communicate actionable feedback to cross-functional internal teams.

Medical Education & Training

  • Design and deliver high-quality medical education programs for physicians, allied healthcare professionals, and internal stakeholders.

  • Support internal training initiatives to ensure accurate and compliant scientific communication.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to provide medical input on product positioning, educational initiatives, and market dynamics.

  • Support brand teams with medical review, data interpretation, and therapeutic guidance.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all activities comply with local regulations, company policies, and ethical standards governing medical and scientific engagement.


Required Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • MD or MBBS from a recognized medical institution.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Education, or a similar scientific role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

  • Prior experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or Regional Medical Advisor is preferred.

Therapeutic Expertise

  • Strong understanding of diabetes and metabolic disorders.

  • Ability to interpret clinical data, guidelines, and treatment paradigms.

Core Competencies

  • Excellent scientific communication and presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals and KOLs.

  • Strong analytical thinking, planning, and execution capabilities.

  • High ethical standards with a strong commitment to compliance and patient-centricity.
