Regional Marketing Head – LATAM Markets (General Manager)

Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Regional Marketing Head – LATAM Markets to lead and drive marketing strategy, brand growth, and market expansion across Latin America. This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing multi-year plans, strengthening therapy and brand presence, and ensuring alignment with global marketing objectives.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pharmaceutical marketing and sales, a proven track record in emerging markets, and strong leadership skills to manage high-performing teams across multiple countries.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement strategies to enter, expand, and strengthen brand and therapy presence in LATAM markets, including Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala, and Peru.

  • Identify growth opportunities and plan a 5-year growth roadmap for the Rx channel in LATAM.

  • Lead annual marketing planning, forecasting, and budget management to optimize resource allocation and ROI.

Brand & Portfolio Management

  • Oversee product strategy, positioning, messaging, and marketing campaigns across LATAM.

  • Institutionalize and execute a new product launch excellence framework.

  • Evaluate and select new products to enhance therapy coverage and portfolio strength.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between product strategy and portfolio initiatives.

Commercial & Market Development

  • Partner with Sales, Market Access, and Commercial Excellence teams to support revenue growth and promotional effectiveness.

  • Monitor and improve brand performance, market share, and ROI.

  • Work closely with country teams to build KOL networks, participate in conferences, and drive scientific knowledge dissemination.

  • Drive digital adoption and implement innovative marketing channels and promotional strategies.

Market Research and Analysis

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to understand customer decision-making and design impactful marketing interventions.

  • Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer insights to guide data-driven decision-making.

People Management & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse marketing team to achieve excellence in brand management and business outcomes.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA)

  • Experience: 18+ years in marketing, or sales and marketing within leading pharmaceutical companies.

  • Therapy Knowledge: Oncology, Cardio-metabolic therapies preferred.

  • International experience in emerging markets is highly desirable.

  • Proven track record in strategic marketing, brand management, and portfolio expansion.

  • Strong leadership, analytical, and cross-cultural team management skills.
