Job Summary

ICON plc, a global leader in healthcare intelligence and clinical research, is hiring a Research Assistant (Phlebotomist/CMA/CNA/Paramedic) to join our San Antonio, TX early phase team. This PRN/on-call position supports the planning and execution of clinical trials through accurate data collection, patient interaction, and documentation. Ideal candidates will have healthcare certification with at least 2 years of experience in phlebotomy, medical assisting, or a related allied health role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and executing clinical trials and studies

  • Perform data collection, documentation, and management

  • Conduct literature reviews and support protocol development

  • Collaborate with cross-functional research teams

  • Prepare internal and external study documentation, reports, and presentations

  • Maintain regulatory-compliant and organized research files


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, EMT, LVN, or Paramedic

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a relevant healthcare support role

  • Proficient in data entry, documentation, and research tools

  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
