Job Description:

Jubilant Biosys is seeking a Research Associate to join our In Vitro ADME, DMPK team. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting a range of in vitro experiments and a strong understanding of ADME (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion) principles, with a focus on new chemical entities (NCEs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in vitro stability experiments for new chemical entities, including liver microsomes, plasma, and other relevant matrices (chemical stability).
  • Perform various in vitro ADME experiments, including:
    • LogP, logD, and pKa measurements.
    • CYP induction and inhibition assays.
    • Permeability determinations (e.g., Caco-2, MDCK cell lines).
    • CYP phenotyping using purified enzyme systems.
    • Solubility determinations (kinetic, thermodynamic, and simulated fluids).
  • Read and comprehend various in vitro ADME protocols to ensure proper experimental design and execution.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all experiments, results, and observations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive progress in ongoing projects.
  • Adhere to all relevant SOPs and regulatory guidelines in conducting experiments and maintaining laboratory practices.

Qualifications:

  • Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) or equivalent qualification.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Strong understanding of in vitro ADME and DMPK assays and their relevance in drug development.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques such as permeability determinations, solubility testing, and enzyme assays.
  • Familiarity with conducting stability and solubility experiments for drug candidates.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
