Role Overview

Clarivate is seeking an experienced Senior Healthcare Research & Data Analyst to join its MedTech Data Team in Bengaluru. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare data analytics, market research, and strategic consulting, supporting global medical device and healthcare organizations in data-driven decision-making.

The successful candidate will contribute to advanced data analysis, competitive intelligence, forecasting, and custom consulting engagements by leveraging real-world healthcare and MedTech datasets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced data analysis using SQL and Python to support market research, forecasting, and healthcare analytics initiatives.

  • Conduct primary and secondary market research, competitive landscape assessments, and custom consulting projects for MedTech and healthcare markets.

  • Build, mine, manage, and validate large datasets to support market modeling and analytical insights.

  • Maintain and enhance existing MedTech product catalogs and datasets.

  • Research and analyze emerging medical device markets, including product segmentation, use cases, and key competitors.

  • Identify market trends, validate data outputs, and proactively resolve data quality or consistency issues.

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand customer challenges and deliver actionable insights.

  • Contribute strategic input to the evolution of data models, analytics frameworks, and product offerings.


Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.E) or Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Biotechnology, Medical Electronics, Pharmacy, or a related life sciences discipline (preferred).

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare or life sciences data analytics.

  • Proven hands-on experience using SQL and Python for data analysis and reporting.


Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and MS Excel.

  • Excellent written, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.

  • Solution-oriented approach with a focus on timely and high-quality execution.


Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Understanding of MedTech data and the broader healthcare ecosystem.

  • Exposure to medical device, claims, or pharmacy datasets.

  • Experience working with third-party data vendors.

  • Knowledge of additional analytics and visualization tools such as R, Tableau, or Power BI.
