The Scientific Director plays a key role in planning, developing, and overseeing scientific content across assigned client portfolios. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in rare diseases, nephrology, rheumatology, and other inflammatory disorders.
Primary Responsibilities
Scientific and Strategic Leadership
Develop and oversee scientific communications projects aligned with medical strategy and client objectives.
Serve as medical lead and trusted scientific resource for assigned accounts and projects.
Demonstrate deep expertise in therapeutic areas and contribute to medical strategy formulation.
Participate in strategic planning for assigned accounts and ensure scientific accuracy across deliverables.
Content Development and Review
Lead content development—serve as primary writer and mentor for junior medical writers.
Prepare and oversee materials such as advisory board decks, speaker programs, training content, and digital/print assets.
Participate in Medical, Legal, Regulatory (MLR) review meetings and integrate required changes effectively.
Manage faculty calls and ensure thorough understanding of product data and therapeutic context.
Prepare annotated documents and support smooth handoff to the submissions team.
Client and Team Collaboration
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, KOLs, and internal teams.
Collaborate with account management to ensure efficient project execution and timely delivery.
Contribute to business growth by assisting in proposal preparation and background research.

Compensation
Annual Base Pay Range: $95,100 – $237,700
Actual base pay depends on qualifications, experience, location, and schedule.
