Scientific Lead – Medical Communications | Novartis, Hyderabad (Hybrid)
Job Summary:
Join Novartis as a Scientific Lead – Medical Communications, where you'll drive scientific excellence across a portfolio of complex therapeutic areas. In this high-impact leadership role, you will ensure the quality, accuracy, and strategic alignment of all scientific content for global medical communication deliverables. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals passionate about scientific storytelling, stakeholder management, and mentoring writing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and guide scientific content development across medical communications for designated therapeutic areas.
Ensure alignment with product communication strategy and learning objectives.
Lead faculty and client discussions regarding scientific content and strategic messaging.
Maintain deep understanding of therapeutic landscapes and competitor positioning.
Train and mentor writing teams on complex scientific topics and content quality.
Develop and review slide decks, publications, symposia content, and advisory board materials.
Support scientific planning, proposal development, and new business pitches.
Ensure regulatory compliance, including adherence to GPP3 and internal SOPs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Degree in healthcare or life sciences; PhD, PharmD, or MD preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in medical communications (agency or pharma).
Proven expertise across a wide range of med comms deliverables.
Experience leading scientific planning and content strategy.
Strong knowledge of scientific literature, therapeutic landscapes, and regulatory guidelines.
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Experience in digital communications and cross-functional collaboration is desirable.
