Job Summary
The Scientific Writer will be responsible for creating specialized scientific content and supporting the end-to-end medical publication and education content development process. The role involves preparing medical education materials such as slide decks, abstracts, posters, and manuscripts, while ensuring alignment with publication plans and scientific communication strategies.
The candidate will also manage documentation and approval workflows using medical content management systems such as PromoMats and iEnvision, while collaborating with global medical affairs teams and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality scientific outputs.
Key Responsibilities
Develop medical education and publication content including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and slide presentations
Support end-to-end publication development and documentation workflows
Manage scientific content approval processes in PromoMats / iEnvision platforms
Maintain and expand therapeutic area expertise
Collaborate with scientific communication teams and global stakeholders
Conduct publication needs analysis for assigned therapeutic areas
Support execution of annual publication plans and medical communication strategies
Work with vendors and external partners to deliver publication outputs
Liaise with Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), product managers, and medical teams to develop customized deliverables
Continuously improve content quality based on stakeholder feedback
Required Skills & Qualifications
Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, or related discipline
2+ years of experience in medical writing, scientific communication, or publication development in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
Strong understanding of medical publications, manuscripts, posters, and abstract development
Experience working with publication management tools such as PromoMats or iEnvision
Strong scientific literature research and interpretation skills
Knowledge of therapeutic area scientific content and clinical research
Excellent English writing and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with global teams
Preferred Skills
